» Question for the stat geeks
On Saturday Wynalda made a comment which I thought was typically out of his arse, but then again, I'm not sure. I don't remember the exact quote, but it was to the effect that "most goals are scored in the second half". In a nutshell, is that true? Anyone have the breakdown percentage-wise? Just wondering how accurate or close to accurate Eric is.You can find all that information here. Scroll down about 3/4 of the way. Yuo will find information broken down by half as well as by every 15 minutes for goal scoring. From a quick look at this years numbers, Eric was correct. http://www.mlsnet.com/MLS/stats/index.jsp?club=mls AndyYou can find all that information here. Scroll down about 3/4 of the way. I found a video on youtube a long time ago about a girl, I think she's supposed to be dead in it, and she comes back and tries to be friends with a bunch of girls. She gives them a present which ends up being a dead crow and I think at the end she finds a dead boy to fall in Love with. If any of you know what I'm talking about could you please post the link to it?I'm so sorry I really don't but I'd like to see it too, it sounds interesting, so hopefully someone with more of a clue than wither of us will answer....... - 2009-07-04

im 17 almost 18 got a tatoo on my left arm of a small tribal i want natural body what can i do to remove it home?Skin graft leaves a scar and looks horrid. Laser is the best option.I saw an ad in a magazine of a cream to remove tattoos, or fade them, rather. I can't remember what it was called, but it had testimonials and stuff. You could google it!You can make an appointment with a laser removal specialist. Sorry, that's really all you can do, unless you want to sand your skin off with a belt sander. There's no way to remove it besides laser. You can cover it up with makeup, but that's it.It's really laser and it's gross but there are places that actually cut off that part of the skin. I can't imagine...... - 2009-07-04

A few years back I had a dream about Brad Garrett a.k.a Robert from Everybody loves Raymond. My husband thought it was funny, now when we watch that show he says, "there's your boyfriend". » Does anyone now of a school in orange county,ca that's for autistic children ?
It depends on the individual needs of the child. If your child has autism, then presumably he/she has social skills deficits and being around typically developing children would be important, so you wouldn't necessarily want a special school just for children with autism because there aren't going to be any typically developing children to serve as role models of appropriate language and social skills. Plus, if your child needs specialized instruction in social interactions, he/she needs typical children to participate in the exchanges with. Putting groups of children together who are all similarly impaired and expecting them to learn the things they don't know, particularly with respect to language and social skills, ...... - 2009-07-04

I am giving up my son for adoption because I am not able to take care of him. I can't make him happy and I don't want a babysitter raising him and him wondering why mommy and daddy can't take care of him. I had a childhood like that and it made me resent my parents for years. I want my son to have a truly stable and happy childhood and family. However I am scared to death he won't understand and will hate me or many other horrible things. What I would like to know good or bad is how do adoptees feel about meeting their birth family? Did you understand the reasons behind why they did it? Are you glad that you met your birth family? I heard he made the movie "Religulous" not to make fun of people that believed in God per se, but to attack organized religion and fundamentalists. Is this accurate? » What is the California "GOLD RUSH" about? quick summary please?
The California Gold Rush 1848â “1855) began on January 24, 1848, when gold was discovered at Sutter's Mill. As news of the discovery spread, some 300,000 people came to California from the rest of the United States and abroad. These early gold-seekers, called "forty-niners," traveled to California by sailing ship and in covered wagons across the continent, often facing substantial hardships on the trip. While most of the newly-arrived were Americans, the Gold Rush also attracted tens of thousands from Latin America, Europe, Australia and Asia. At first, the prospectors retrieved the gold from streams and riverbeds using simple techniques, such as panning, and later developed more sophisticated methods of gold recovery that were adopted...... - 2009-07-04

» New Camera. I've got some issues.
I just bought a Kalimar SR200 off eBay. It's a pretty old camera and pretty used. The mirror is slightly broken but it still functions from what I can tell. So I bought a roll of film to test but me not knowing what I'm doing for the most part bought a professional quality film that has to be sent off to develop. Before I knew that I shot the whole roll and it seemed to be working right. But then I went and bought a .99 roll so I can get it developed right in the store, loaded it and now when I wind and try to shoot the shutter or something seems to stick. It doesn't snap like it did the first roll and I am wondering if I've done some damage to some mechanism inside the camera by not using the setting properly. The exposure time dial...... - 2009-07-04

» 4 GIGApixel Camera
Break out the check book. It seems to capture some nice images though. http://www.wired.com/news/technology/0,1282,66498,00.html?tw=wn_tophead_2The best part about the 4 gigapixel camera? It's a film camera! Large rolls of Kodak film, used mostly for aerial photography and geological surveys, cost $1,200 each. The film is ultra-high-resolution -- 4,000 pixels per inch -- but on a square-inch basis, it costs less than 35mm, Flint said. He cuts the film himself and loads it onto the magazines. This guy's best skill is his ability to market. He's getting a lot of press for his "new" techniques, which have been a part of large format and ultra large format photography for over a century now. EDIT: And at a resolution of 4000 ...... - 2009-07-04

Now they need a $700 Billion bail out or ppl wont be able to borrow from anywhere sending our economy into further crisis. The bail out has been approved by both houses of Congress. This money will be injected back into the financial sector to help cash strapped banks lend money to businesses and consumers to conduct daily business. This could take some time to correct itself. Here in america, tanning is VERY popular, especially with people from 13 to 40.I don't find the tanning as bad as the attempt to look trendy with the off-white make up.....but then, when people just attempt to copy trends because everybody else is doing it is always one thing that I find amusing..... I think it is a passing fad, like most trends in japan, here today and gone tomorrow type of scenario....curious on who makes the trends, since once somebody creates it, it appears the lemmings come out in force..... watching some news on the ganguro or the ogyaru or some of the other trends, I guess the people (since I've seen some guys in funky makeup too) want ...... - 2009-07-04
» Bright Lighting and filters
Hi all, Living in NZ means you get alot of nice cloudy days, which I find great for outdoor photography. However, the past few days have been really bright and sunny and I find it alot harder to take nice pics when its really bright. I could use any tips and suggestions you have about shooting in bright lights. Usually I try to underexpose my shots a couple of notches, but I don't seem to get the best results. Craig (of this forum) suggested I look into neutral density filters. Can anyone else give me their suggestions? I had a polarising filter which i loved until friend accidently dropped my camera on its lens  luckily only the polarising filter was cracked :( My camera is a digital Canon D10. I use a tamron 28-300 ...... - 2009-07-04
» What style of bikinis do girls like most?
2 or 1-piece thongs shorts etc.I like two pieces for anyone under the age of like thirty... after thirty one should maybe start wear tankinis or a fashionable one piece. It's more important to dress for your body than it is to dress for the fashion magazines though. There are stylish suits for every body type. For instance, if you have a bigger tummy than you would like, a suit like http://www2.victoriassecret.com/commerce... or http://www2.victoriassecret.com/commerce... would be the most flattering. » Google API modules
I was just toying around and decided to go ahead and register with Google. Then I discovered their personalized home-page. THEN I realized how they have it setup so that you can add custom modules to it. So I was thinking, how many people out there, assuming you had a personalized Google main page, would like to see something like SPC products or maybe some other type of weather maps/feeds. I've recently become addicted to stuff like this. The modules are XML, which I have yet to learn, but I'm thinking about maybe making a simple something. It's pretty cool how you can set the page up, move items around, and they're there everytime you go to Google something.I do have my Google page set up to display the SPC RSS feeds... » When I was younger I had a very scary dream?
When I was about 9 or 10 I had a dream that I was with my friend and her mom, who was a real estate agent. We went to Mc donalds to get ice cream then we had to go check on a house she was selling. When we got there it was a castle and we then werent supposed to be there. We were in a bedroom and someone was coming. My friend and her mom pushed this button that turned them into toys in the closet. I just hid under the bed. The kind found me and made me his slave and I had to ride my bike to a 7-11 to set off a bomb for him. I kept telling him the fuse wouldnt work because I was too scared to do it. Anyway. ever since then I have been terrified of castles. I can't even look at a picture of one or hear the word without my heart beating f...... - 2009-07-04

Dark Match: * Carlito & Primo Colon b. TJ Wilson & DH Smith w/Natalya - TJ Wilson, DH Smith, and Natalya are introduced as "The Foundation." Carlito got the win via pinfall after hitting the backstabber on TJ. Lots of high-flying moves. This was before the smackdown tapings, what are your thoughts on this? I think that these 3 so called wrestlers are living off their parents laurels.DH Smith will never be as good as his father, the only thing that Natalya has going for her is her laugh is so much like her father's. my son only uses his left hand to eat and gets bite marks on his hand because he refuses to eat with utensils, I've tried different types of spoons, plastic, silicone, themed, musical... yeah to no avail... is this just a phase or am I lacking something that I dont know?My almost 19 month old still uses her fingers. UNLESS it's something she can "stab" with her fork. She caught on to that pretty quick. But she's still learning how to hold her spoon and keep the food on it. The weird thing is...she can use both right and left hand to eat. It's kind funny to watch her. He doesn't understand the need to use utensils yet. » Tips for attracting Google Researchers !
I was very excited about Google Questions when I learned about it in December! My first question was fielded by a non-researcher and the answer was right on the money. I was confused at first as to what had happened and then was informed by a ga. My intention had been to post a question and then pay for the answer, yet I was unable to pay anyone. The ga agreed that the answer posted by the non-ga was a good one and explained that if I was satisfied with the answer, then I could close the question.... which I did. Since then, I had attempted to post questions. On the 29th and 30th of December. They did not post, so I tried over and over again until one day they showed up redundantly in my account list. I then closed all of the redund...... - 2009-07-04

I'm looking for a hard/waterproof case for my laptop and camera gear for my upcoming trip to Thailand. I've come accross a few different brands, and obviously there are pelican cases, but I was also looking at these: http://www.magnacase.com/servlet/StoreFront Looks similar to Pelican cases with pick-n-pluck foam and a valve and everything. I was just curious if anyone has one of these, and knows how sturdy and waterproof they are? It seems like a good deal as they have one with ideal dimensions as well as being half the price of the pelican cases. If anyone has any experience with other brands that are a little less spendy then pelican or seahorse, I'd be much obliged. They are usually on the higher end of the pricing though. eBay is probably the way to go for the best price. You can try craigslist.net. Then just click on the city closest to you. Footbath could save bees and end varroa mite http://www.farmnews.co.nz/images/bee.jpg31 July 2008 -- One of the biggest world wide threats to honey bees, the varroa mite, could soon be about to meet its nemesis. Researchers at the University of Warwick are examining naturally occurring fungi that kill the varroa mite. They are also exploring a range of ways to deliver the killer fungus throughout the hives from bee fungal foot baths to powder sprays. It well known that bees world wide are suffering serious declines and one of the causes of that decline is the varroa mite, Varroa destructor. Varroa mites feed on the circulatory fluid of honey bee pupae and adult bees, and in so doing they activate and transmit diseases which reduce the li...... - 2009-07-04

I am looking for a clasp with male/female parts also called a "neoprene" clasp (refering to the plastic fitting that holds the male end into the female end). I'm familiar with the sort of clasp you're referring to - my grandmother also called them "barrel clasps". They are usually found in craft shops in the "Jewelry Findings" aisles. Hey, I'm new to flash, my question is: If I got 2 tags, for this sample, they'll be "_over" and "_out" which are used for a button that has a motion of color tint. Now, lets say I start with gotoAndPlay("_over"), then the button turns from one color to another, then I trigger the gotoAndPlay("_out") and the button changes back to it's original color. My problem is when I trigger the gotoAndPlay("_out") while gotoAndPlay("_over") was playing, so I was wondering if you can somehow get the frame being played by the "_over" tagged frame and relate it to the gotoAndPlay(...) function. Why not specify when you want each function to take place? » How Cat's nutrition is affected?
I give them all the time the same brand, and I SWITCH them flavors like instead of Chicken and Beef, I'll buy the next time: Seafood. How are they affected? upset stomach, more use of litter, etc. Thank you.If you are getting wet food it won't effect them as long as it's the same brand. If it is dry food they are usually different formulas not flavors and in that case it will affect the cat's digestion even if it is the same brand. This can be seen in diarrhea and more frequent trips to the litter box. So if you are using dry food stick to one kind/flavor and your kitty will be just fine.I don't think it affects them, unless they're eating less and losing weight. Or they're spitting up more hair bal...... - 2009-07-04
» How about Kate Winslet and Angelina Jolie, who's prettier??? i just need the best opinion please...thanks!?
I prefer Kate. I think A. Jolie is highly overrated. I'm for Kate :) Kate Winslet is classy, reserved, and gorgeous, a really genuine girl. She's also a much better actress. Angelina Jolie is more of a sex object, and is pretty, but somewhat trashy appearing to me. She doesn't stand out to me personally. Angelina Jolie, 'nuff said. They both are very beautiful but I believe they both have different kinds of beauty. Kate is more of like a floral kind of classy beautiful girl while Angelina has sort of that raging power inside there. Know what I mean?Angelina Jolie. She is pretty, gorgeous inside and out. If you were going to spend the money, which would you buy and why? EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM or the EF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6 L IS USMI bought the 70-200. I needed the wider aperture and have no regrets. What kind of camera is it for and what do you want to shoot? Get the 2.8 for the fast action type shots, and use a teleconverter if you need even more reach. But the "IS" is very nice. Remember on anything but the 5d, your really looking at 100mm-300mm effective zoom with the crop factor. I believe the engine in the 1982 transam(aka kitt) is a 305 chev how good is it?? If underpowered what engine would give the power associated with a muscle car of that era?? A 305 Chevy is not one of my favorite GM engines. It can last as long as any other engine if taken care of. It is definitely underpowered as it came in that car. A Chevy 350 will bolt right in place and make a good deal more power. You can buy a new 350 from GM for under $2000 that has a warranty. What a deal!

» How can I get my 18 month old to use his utensils!?
my son only uses his left hand to eat and gets bite marks on his hand because he refuses to eat with utensils, I've tried different types of spoons, plastic, silicone, themed, musical... yeah to no avail... is this just a phase or am I lacking something that I dont know?My almost 19 month old still uses her fingers.
» Hard cases (pelican, magna, etc.)
If anyone has any experience with other brands that are a little less spendy then pelican or seahorse, I'd be much obliged. i'm wanting to by my hubby a new cell phone without a plan, just a phone...i've checked ebay so i might be buying one there but does anyone else know of anywhere that sells phones for a decent price?? thanx...Well you kind of limited it when you wrote "for a decent price," but Best Buy and Amazon sell unlocked GSM phones now. They are usually on the higher end of the pricing though. eBay is probably the way to go for the best price. You can try craigslist.net. Then just click on the city closest to you. Just be careful for scammers. I think e-bay is your best bet though. Good luck! From my experience, I wouldn't suggest buying one on ebay. » Footbath could save bees and end varroa mite

Has anyone here read Dragon Knights? I absolutely love this manga. At frist seems like it is just a comedy, but later it becomes more serious and a bit deeper. Yet, it doesn't stop being funny. » gotoAndPlay(...) Action
She uses her fame to raise the awareness of people on global issues. She is a woman worth looking up to.Kate...... - 2009-07-04

Replying to a thread is fine, but sometimes (don't have specifics at this time, but it's most likely under high loads) it takes a while for the thread to post, some people have said it can take 10-30 seconds sometimes. Is there something that can be done on the server settings side that might resolve this? I just posted the text of the declaration of independence in 3 different forums, and it took 5 seconds in two of them, and 17 seconds in the third. The third has > 19K threads, the other two have approx 1K. Would the thread count of the forum make a difference? » Canon 70-200L IS USM vs 100-400 IS
If you were going to spend the money, which would you buy and why?
